Gang Li is Professor of Tourism Economics at the University of Surrey, where he also leads the Competitiveness of the Visitor Economy Research Centre. With his backwound in economics and statistics, Gang is interested in methodological developments in tourism demand modelling and forecasting, especially systematic approaches. His research appears in Annals of Tourism Research, Journal of Travel Research, Tourism Management, International Journal of Forecasting, and so on. He also co-authored a research book
“Advanced Econometrics of Tourism Demand”. Gang is an elected fellow of the International Academy for the Study of Tourism. He is also the co-curator of the Curated Collection of Tourism Demand Forecasting of Annals of Tourism Research.
